With this double page spread you notice that there is 3 main sections; a large action image, a small section telling the viewers he features and marketing highlights of APB and the release date and a large banner giving the readers a quick snippet of information about the game in general.
Looking at the first page you notice that the two people have a background colour (blue and red) showing which team they are on and are this is also extended by having they at opposite angles. There are only 5 parts to the features section just telling us basic information about the game and the company. The section below also talks about the ways they are advertising by having beta openings and other marketing events. The double page spread also has a small image of the game cover and the release date next to it. I think the set up used works well because if you have just read an entire article full of non-important information you will lose interest but the way this is set up you get what you want in short. The fonts work well to separate out the different bits of text. They used two types of fonts one for the bold masthead, but they use a much clearer font for the small text to allow easier reading. The masthead is in a bold font as I have said before but is also highlighted by a yellow banner this makes the text stand out and also looks like graffiti which relates well with the type of game this is.
The main colours used are blue, red, white, black and yellow. These are used in a perfect balance allowing the reader not to be bombarded by the colours but make the double page spread attractive to the eyes. They only used the red and blue to highlight the two people in the main image to symbolise the conflict between the two people, this is emphasised by the way the two colours are splashing into each other.
The black is mainly used as the main font colour and is used for the main article text as well as the main masthead font. Black is also used to highlight the yellow font when it is used to give the synopsis of the article below.
I think this is a good double page spread because of the way the colours are used together to compliment each other, the article looks exciting with the way the image is placed and makes the whole thin easy to look at.
